Mexico
Baja California

The Baja California region has established itself as one of Mexico's new wine and food regions, where the Mediterranean climate allows for the coexistence of historical winemaking with Pacific cuisine.

In wine-producing valleys, such as the Guadalupe Valley, the tradition of the Mission grape—originally brought from Spain by missionaries—is preserved by iconic wineries like Santo Tomás and vinified with modern techniques.

The experience is defined by the bounty of the Pacific's cold waters, which provide world-class lobsters, tuna, and shellfish. These are integrated into both haute cuisine and the street food culture, where seafood is consumed even at breakfast. This environment spurred the creation of the Bajamed trend, a fusion of local ingredients with Mediterranean techniques that has captured the attention of food lovers.

Added to this is a unique border identity, a fusion of cultures among migrants, and daily interaction with the people of Baja California and Southern California. Between carne asada, fish, and shrimp tacos, with a good glass of wine or a sailboat ride around the bay, you can experience the Baja and Mexican Pacific lifestyle.
